Kim Shin, a brave military general from the Goryeo Dynasty, is betrayed by the king he served and cursed to become a goblin with immortality. He spends his days saving people with his powers while searching for his prophesied bride who can free him from his curse.

Nineteen years ago, Kim Shin saves a woman, whose daughter Ji Eun Tak gains the ability to communicate with spirits. Despite her gift, Eun Tak grows up as an optimistic high schooler working at a chicken restaurant owned by Sunny. Sunny falls in love with a grim reaper, who happens to be Kim Shin’s roommate.

Their lives become intertwined, revealing a complex fate. Will Kim Shin’s bride finally release him from his eternal misery?
